The wait for another job has left me wondering several things. But one key one for myself is basically "is this it?" Is this all my life has amounted to? Constant jumping around different jobs, never really settling on one that I can consider to call my true calling, one that doesn't leave me so exasperated I want to leave and find something else?

Apologies for the lack of updates here. What few people follow me. Unfortunately things have gone from bad to worse in the employment fronts. My agency seems to have forgotten I exist and one branch of supposedly the same company requested a copy of my CV only to lose it and need it to be sent again?! Hopeless is probably not strong enough a word.

It's been a while again. Been a little busy last week as one of the stores in the company needed extra staff to cover. As a result, I've been doing overtime in that store. All the glamour of working in the big city and more eh?

After the goings on at the GA meet, I did some Googling. After some thinking (Which I don't normally do) and thinking back to Auchinawa 08, I managed to put 2+2 together (Durr...well done xahl!  Gold star for you!  :p) and figured out something. I'm not going to go into details. Those there know what I'm blabbering about. Last thing I want to do is be to drawn into other matters that may be inflamed if I dwell too long on them or name names.

I've examined the stats on my Flickr again to check the final aftermath of the Ayacon photo views. Seems the final tally was like 3,492 views. A couple of days after I got back. I hadn't even uploaded all of the photos at that point. That is insane. Thanks for looking!

Went to the GA meet. It was actually a lot of fun and my only regret is I had to leave early due to work tomorrow. There was a bit of drama that went on though but I'm not going into any details here as I don't know the exact details and don't want to speculate. Ah well. I look forward to the next one.

Work tomorrow. More selling of phones. Hope to learn a bit more about the job this time and improve my ability to deal with the queues quickly. That is all for now.

That is my PC. To make sure it doesn't overheat in my room I've left the fans on constantly. However this has the disadvantage of it making a constant drone from all four of the fans. The result is my room sounds a more like a small server data centre. I wish I could just turn it down but the last time I tried that it almost fried the graphics card and motherboard...>_<...ain't trying that again.

OK,  I haven't really, but there are time where I wonder if I have done something really seriously wrong with regards to how my life has gone so far. The reason I say this is because I look back on life and realise I have made a whole ton of mistakes that could've been easily avoided or corrected on the spot. However, if we all had the power of hindsight, I guess no mistakes would ever be made and I wouldn't be the same person I am now.

So, first weekend at my new job. What's the story? Well, it's certainly more interesting than I thought it was going to be. I ended up being thrown into the deep end though, since the staff at this phone shop found themselves overrun a bit with the sheer volume of customers coming in, meaning they couldn't sit down and teach me everything. They were able to show me how to do the basics on the job though.

It sounds like I may have a new job soon. It's only a part time position over weekends but I'll take what I can get. I think it will be me working in a phone shop. So it isn't completely out of my area of expertise. What it will involve is me selling the things, so it is a little out of my comfort zone. Still, I see it as a good opportunity to try something different as I don't want to speak to customers forever over a phone, which can be more than a little stressful at times. At least face to face means they can see my nuances and make it easier to show them how to work the phone...

So, xahldera, me, the techy guy who is actually a bit old school and not usually with the "in" crowd or doing the "in" thing has finally bowed to pressure (i.e. none) and got himself a Twitter acc. Let's see how long this lasts before I get bored and abandon or delete it. It will mostly be used to follow friends and interesting organisations on Twitter rather than doing any Twittering myself as I have enough problems finding any motivation to update this blog, but here we go.
